For two weeks before Valentine's Day I put paper hearts in my kids' (and husband's) lunches. Each heart says something that I love about them. This is an inexpensive and easy way to brighten their day a little. If your family doesn't pack lunches, I've seen other parents tape the hearts to their kids' bedroom doors.
For Valentine's Day, I've planned a little treasure hunt. I labeled chocolate hearts with letters that spell out the name of a room in our house. On Valentine's Day I'll hide the chocolates/letters in the house. My kids will need to find them and unscramble the letters to figure out the room where I've hidden a surprise for them.
How do you celebrate Valentine's Day with your kids?
