My daughter requested cat cupcakes for her recent birthday. I'm not great at baking or decorating, but she was happy with the final result. These cupcakes were my original inspiration, but I made some modifications based on what I had on hand.
I started by microwaving candy melts and pouring them into a piping bag. I piped the melted candy into three shapes: pink hearts for noses, white triangles for ears, and black lines for whiskers. I set them aside and let them cool.
I used a star tip to frost the cupcakes. You could use any color (or a combination) but I stuck with white.
Once the cupcakes were frosted, I added the cooled candy melts and used mini chocolate chips for eyes.
There's not much more to it than that, but why not read a story while you enjoy your cupcakes?
