Marshmallow shooters make great party favors because they're easy, inexpensive, and lots of fun.
My son wanted to buy a marshmallow shooter he saw at the store the other day. It was a single tube of cheap plastic and I assured him that he would get bored with it quickly. I told him we could build a waaaaay better one and I was right.
I found some easy instructions at Frugal Fun for Boys and we headed to Home Depot to get what we needed. Once we got it home and put it together he decorated the marshmallow shooter with some tape from the craft closet and spent the afternoon playing with it. He had so much fun that his sister wanted one too.
I realized that they would make great party favors for his birthday party. Each one costs under three dollars and combines an activity and favor in one. We bought enough supplies to make a marshmallow shooter for each guest.
We're going to package the parts along with instructions and a bag of "ammo".
We'll also supply some decorative tape and stickers so they can personalize their marshmallow shooters. I'm really looking forward to handing them out!
