We make a pretty big deal about birthdays around here. My children's cousins travel four hours each way to be at the party and to help us celebrate. I think spending time with their cousins is the part of their birthday celebration that my son and daughter look forward to the most! Since I want it to be a special day, I pay attention to every detail right down to the greeting card. Luckily, Walmart has a huge selection of Hallmark kids cards perfect for every party. At my son's recent sixth birthday party, we had a great time with one of the poster cards for kids and even turned it into a great keepsake to remember the fun.

The cards look like a regular greeting card but unfold to reveal a full size poster. We chose a Batman card with our birthday superhero in mind.

This is an "Add Your Face" card and all the cousins tried it out. Even my husband gave it a try!

All of his cousins signed the card for my son.

After the party, we chose a favorite snapshot of him. We had it printed and mounted it behind the card to complete the poster. It now hangs on his bedroom wall and is a great souvenir of his sixth birthday party. The signatures remind him of the fun he had with his cousins and how they came to celebrate the day he was born.
