One of my kids' favorite things to see at the zoo is the bald eagle. Every time we walk past the exhibit they ask me to read the sign describing how she was found in the wild with a broken wing. Then they ask me how her wing got broken and I tell them that I don't know. We make some guesses and then they ask me which guess was right. I tell them I don't know. We start guessing again. They ask me which guess was right. We repeat the whole process until they mercifully get distracted by something else.
That eagle sure isn't telling. |
To make our handprint and footprint bald eagle, I painted their feet.
We stamped the paper to form the head, body, and feet.
We used handprints for the wings.
We added eyes, a beak, and some star stickers just to make it extra patriotic.
Since my 3 year old won't do any project that doesn't involve red, we made hers red, white, and blue.
If you love little handprints as much as I do, you might also want to check out our handprint flags:
Wow! These are both amazing. I have several boards I am going to pin this too. I love that you tied them to books.
