I had these wooden squares left from another project and decided to make a travel puzzle for my four year old. This would be great if you're going on a road trip this Thanksgiving.
I modpodged (spell check says that's not a word. pffft.) some scrapbook paper onto the squares.
Then I found some stickers of things that we might see while traveling in the car.
I put the stickers onto a baking sheet from the dollar store and added some letter stickers to spell out the words.
I attached magnets to the back of the wooden squares and corresponding letter stickers to the front.
Now as he sees something in the car he can find the letter squares for each word and match them up.
I also did one for my two year old but she doesn't necessarily use it in the car.
Super clever idea! I love travel games. We take long car trips all the time.
