Today we read Little Cloud
by Eric Carle. Little Cloud drifts behind all the other clouds and turns into fun shapes like an airplane and a rabbit. Then Little Cloud joins the other clouds to become one big cloud before it starts to rain.
I got the idea for this from Yummy Finds, although I used frozen Cool Whip instead of whipping my own cream. We started by making blue jello, substituting ice for the cold water so it set up faster.
Then we layered the blue jello and the frozen Cool Whip. Clouds in the sky in our very own glasses!
Lainey was only interested in the Cool Whip.

Drew also insisted that we whip up some more cloud paint (half shaving cream, half glue) to make a picture of Little Cloud. See it there in the lower left corner? He also made some rain, because it rained at the end of the book.
