We are huge "Wheels on the Bus" fans. So we were super excited to get The Spooky Wheels On The Bus and we were not disappointed! It's the traditional song with a Halloween twist. Plus, there's some simple counting. "One spooky bus goes RATTLE and SHAKE, Two white wipers go CREAK, CREAK, CREAK, Three noisy cats go MEOW HISS HISS..."
Then we added clip art in the "windows" of some of the different characters riding the bus in the book. We also used clip art pumpkins for the wheels just like in the book. Then I wrote "Ghoul Bus" on the top which is not in the story, but I couldn't resist.
I love the 'ghoul bus', what a lovely idea... my kids love creating things like this :)
ReplyDeleteThat book would make a read Halloween read-sing aloud. The jack-o'-lantern tires on the ghoul bus made me smile! What an adorable craft. And the holes in the egg carton really do look like windows.
ReplyDeleteAwesome repurposing with the egg carton! Thanks for linking to Things I've Done Thursday.
